West Bend Receives National Recognition for Excellence
| Twenty of the 426 districts in Wisconsin made Newsweek's Top Schools in the Nation list. West Bend East and West Bend West were named among the top 5% of high schools nationwide. National recognition for this honor comes from Newsweek's analysis of the number of students who participate in Advanced Placement exams each year divided by the graduating seniors. This edition of Newsweek focuses on education, and in addition to rigorous course work examines such factors as the role of the principal in effective schools. |

National Recognition - Top of the Class
West Bend West High School and West Bend East High School were both recently recognized by Newsweek Magazine as two of the top 1,500 high schools in America. Only 26 other schools in Wisconsin secured a spot this year on Newsweek’s annual list.
West Bend West High School ranked 1,084 and West Bend East ranked 1,170 on the list that is based on a single calculation: the number of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate test taken by all students, divided by the number of graduating seniors.
